The next post meeting is Thursday October 8th at 6pm for Dinner and 7pm for the meeting. **We will meet at our new Location 130 Upton Ln, Springdale**
At the October 8th meeting we will be taking donations of Candy for Springdale's Trunk-or-Treat. They expect over 1000 children so please be generous.
The next district meeting will be at Post 1674, Siloam Springs VFW on October 18th at 2pm.
November 7th is the Springdale Veterans day parade. Let have a great show of support. More details will be sent out in E-mail later.
The Fall Cook off is also November 7th will be held at the American Legion Hall, 200 Spring St. Springdale from 3-7pm.
Chili Cook Off
$20 to enter
$ 5 donation at door for chili testing & 1 vote
$ for extra votes ($1 for 1 ticket, $5 for 6 tickets)
Prizes are being taken care of by Audrey (Spoons & Apron) but will need to secure either gift certificates to add to them or cash.
Silent Auction Baskets
With limited space we are going with 10 baskets. People can either donate things for a basket, give money for us to shop for stuff or if someone just wants to do the entire basket they can do that as well. If you want to do a complete basket please let me know. All donated items & $ will need to be submitted by Saturday morning, Oct 31 at 10 am to Tami. This gives us plenty of time to get the baskets put together & the bid sheets made.
Christmas Basket - anything for a cozy Christmas. Blanket, cup, hot cocoa, baking utensils, etc
Hunting, Fishing, Outdoor Basket - anything going along that theme
Family Fun - gift certificates to movies, bowling, dinner, etc
Cooking Basket - all things cooking (bakeware, utensils, etc, homemade spices & a small cookbook from the auxiliary/post). We will ask for recipes to make a small cookbook to put in this one.
Spa Day - gift certificate for massage, self care items
Grace & Gratitude - faith based
Rainy Day Fun - games, cards, pizza gift certificate, etc
Journaling Dreams - anything to do with journaling
Dorothy & Andy (Casa de Cardiel) - goodies from canned products, alcohol, etc
Coffee Lovers Dream - all things coffee
December 10th will be our Christmas Party and a short meeting. The dinner will be Pot Luck look for a "Signup Genious" sheet in the near future.
